Any student account balance that was being covered by the monthly payment plan will be due immediately as a one-time payment. Returned payments: If a payment is returned unpaid by the credit card or bank account on record, Nelnet will attempt to submit the payment again. If the second attempt is also returned unpaid by the credit card or bank account the payment plan is cancelled.Payments will be charged to your card or withdrawn from the bank account automatically on the 15th of each month.
